More Autumn Color at Sonoma Botanical Garden – Red

Anthocyanin is a kind of flavonoid found in the cell vacuoles of leaf tissues. As the green chlorophyll fades, anthocyanin remains giving colors from red to purple to blue partly based on the acidity of the tissues.
