Autumn Color at Sonoma Botanical Garden – Yellow

A few selections from the Asian collection at the Sonoma Botanical Garden in Glen Ellen. As leaves naturally lose their green (Chlorophyl) on their way to fully brown, Carotenoid pigments may be retained for a while giving leaves a yellow or orange color…as with the Japanese Cherry Birch above
