Two Argiope Spiders

Argiope aurantia, the “Black and Yellow Garden Spider” and Argiope trifasciata, the “Banded Garden Spider” are both native orb weavers found in open meadows and wetlands throughout much of North and Central America. They make a papery egg case near their characteristically spiraling web that can produce up to 1400 offspring.
