Milk Thistle Cotyledons

Cotyledons or “seed leaves” are structures found in Angiosperms (flowering plants), they are the first leaves to emerge from a germinating seed. This initial photosynthetic tissue provides early nourishment for the developing embryo while the other leaves grow in to take over the job.
