7 weeks after we first met our fuzzy little eaglet…it has left the nest. Eaglets, upon fledging, may spend another 4 to 6 weeks calling to their parents, “mooching” for food while they practice flying and learn to hunt for themselves.

Yessssss!!!! Jim your tracking skills and photos are amazing!! I went to check on Eaglet last Sunday & found the empty nest…been hearing begging calls on the move but haven’t been able to spot the fledgling so THANK YOUUUUUU!!! Wow!!! Good luck & hunting, youngster!
