Eaglet

Golden Eagles typically lay 1 to 3 eggs per clutch a few days apart, the first to hatch tends to get a head start and will often outcompete its siblings for food and may even kill their smaller weaker nest mates. For their first few weeks eaglets sport a fluffy white-to-grey wooly down which helps to keeps them warm up in their windy eyries.
