Wilson’s Wet Feathers

This Wilson’s Warbler, Cardellina pusilla, was hanging out with the sunflower seed eaters and working on some feather maintenance. While sitting out in the sun to preen leaves birds vulnerable, doing it in the midst of a flock may be safer with many eyes on the look-out for predators.
