Western Tussock Moth Caterpillar

During the spring, Western Tussock Moth larvae (Orgyia vetusta) can be found on coastal and urban oak, willow and fruit trees. While they are stunning to behold, they’re often maligned for their defoliating tendencies and the painful itchy rashes their urticating hairs may cause.
