Two Western Pond Turtles slowly approached each other in the middle of a pond, when they met there was a quick splashing confrontation then they surfaced and swam away from each other. Was this a male/female interaction or maybe two males establishing dominance and jostling for resources in an ever shrinking territory? (Click image for larger versions)
