    Beautiful photo.

But I have a question about the wintering behavior of the Western fence lizard. I saw them in a tree near a flat stone gravesite in the rural cemetery in Santa Rosa, when it was warmer, late October.

I wonder what they do now, in the cold and rain. Do they burrow underground? Do they hibernate (the bromation of lizards in dry climates when there is little moisture available?). I don’t know where to try to find information on these creatures, who do push-ups in the sun, which I suppose is an aggressive posturing. Any thoughts of yours appreciated
