“Tiger of the Night Sky”

Bubo virginianus, “Great Horned Owls” are a large powerful, mostly nocturnal predator…seen here working a mid-morning shift. They have the most diverse diet of all North American raptors, including invertebrates, fish, reptiles, rodents, skunks, squirrels, bats, house cats, lap dogs, porcupines, ducks, crows, other raptors and carrion.
