Red Swamp Crayfish

Procambarus clarkii, better known as “Crawdads” in their native Mississippi River watershed, now scavenge the muds on every continent except Antarctica. This one was found ambling near the edge of the Laguna de Santa Rosa, they are known to create and occupy burrows in the muds above water level.
