Pedicularis and Bumblebees

Bumblebees are known to be a primary pollinator of Pedicularis densiflora, “Warrior’s-plume”. They’re known to engage in what’s called “buzz pollination” where they vibrate their flight muscles to trigger the release of pollen, evidently in some cases the whole pollen sac is deposited on their backs.
