Chinavia hilaris, also known as the “Green Soldier Bug” can be found throughout much of the U.S. using its needle-like mouthparts to slurp-up plant juices, including agricultural crops. When disturbed they’re famously able to secrete a foul smelling liquid from its thorax as a deterrent.
