Amsinckia menziesii does well on the rocky slopes and has that lovely Borage family sequential flower structure. A young crab spider hides in the shadows ready to ambush an unsuspecting pollinator. Playing the old “disguise and surprise” game, adult crab spiders are also able to change color over the course of a couple days to match a flower.
