Double-crested Cormorant Yawning?

Many birds stretch open their beaks for a number of reasons; a begging display, a threatening display, stretching the jaw muscles and yawning. There’s a lively debate whether birds actually yawn which is complicated by the underlying debate about what a yawn is! Cormorants have an extra flexible upper jaw and hinge it upwards during a good ol’ jaw-stretch.
