Deer Mouse

Peromyscus maniculatus are among the most abundant mammal species in North America. Able to reproduce around 35 days old and having a gestation period of around 25 days, females commonly have multiple litters per year with 5 to 10 young per litter…that’s a lot of mice. They are omnivorous and shift their diet seasonally according to what is available and are a primary food source for a long list of native predators.
