Coast Tarweed

Madia sativa, also known as “Chilean tarweed” is an annual herb native to the western coasts of North and South America. As with other tarweeds it can be common in grasslands and disturbed areas. Its late season flowers are a valuable source of nectar and pollen and the seeds are long utilized by wildlife and indigenous peoples alike.
