California Vole

Microtus californicus, also known as “Meadow Mice” are a blunt-nosed stocky little rodent with small ears and eyes, short legs and tails who can bear 5 to 10 litters per year. One study found in agricultural areas their numbers can be in the hundreds per acre, while they can be pestiferous, they sure are cute.
