California KingSnake

Lampropeltis californiae is a native non-venomous constrictor thought to have the strongest squeeze power of all snakes. They’re famous for being opportunistic hunters of many creatures including rattlesnakes, they’ve also evolved to be resistant (not immune) to rattlesnake venom. They’re habit of hunting other snakes including rattlers is said to be why they are called “King Snakes”!
