Bristly Oxtongue

Helmenthotheca echioides is a drought resistant annual or biennial herb from the Mediterranean region now found throughout the world in disturbed areas. While it is a welcomed summer nectar and pollen source for bees, it can spread rapidly and outcompete native species.
