This male Bewick’s Wren is working on his courtship song which is learned from listening to other adult males’ songs while he’s maturing. He then adapts his own special take on those songs by making subtle adjustments and thus creating his own unique song…perhaps in the attempt of attracting mates who’ll appreciate his creative style.
