These terrestrial gastropods can grow to nearly 10 inches long and live up to 7 years old. Capable of moving an impressive 6.5 inches per minute, their upper tentacles “eyestalks” can detect light while their lower tentacles are used to detect chemicals. They have a single opening on the right side of their bodies, leading to their one lung.
