At the Wildcat Canyon Regional Park in Richmond this Coyote with open sores was seen being chased by a buck then stopping to scratch some itches. There are other reports of Coyotes in the Bay Area dealing with “Scaroptic Mange” which is caused by mites and is thought to be linked to weakened immune systems from exposure to rat poison.
