American White Pelican

Pelicans erythrorhyncos is one of the largest flying birds in the world, they work together to employ those famously large bills to dabble and scoop fish from the water’s surface, unlike their cousins the brown pelican which will dive and forage further underwater. After a feeding, they gather in a safe place to preen and stretch their big ol’ jaw bones and gular pouches.
