A couple Canada geese on a neighbor’s dried up pond. Where usually they’d be floating around looking for a nest site now they sit on the dried mud and contemplate their options. As much of the west faces “exceptional drought” and the hottest driest months still lie ahead, the impacts to wildlife will be severe.
