Bullfrog Tadpole

Given an appropriately wet place to develop, a Lithobates catesbeianus tadpole may take a few years to metamorphose into an adult Bullfrog. This bit of muscly jelly eventually grows legs and an appetite for anything it can fit its jaws around. Native to the central and eastern U.S. it has become a persistent problem in the west on account of its reproductive success and an appetite for many other native species.
