Feeding Bushtit Babies

Bushtit parents usually have 1 to 2 broods of 4 to 10 eggs per year. Both parents will incubate the eggs in their hanging nest and share feeding responsibilities, catching hundreds of insects and spiders per day. They’re also known to exhibit cooperative breeding behavior, with helpers assisting the breeding pair.
