Crayfish Leftovers

Bits and pieces of crayfish exoskeletons can often be found long the banks of waterways. Molts are left behind as crayfish grow and chunks of undigestible parts show where some became a meal. Many animals prey on crayfish, including wading birds, raccoons, otters, foxes, turtles and bullfrogs.
