A bystander asks “Why are those mean ravens attacking that poor hawk?!”. Well…baby ravens are a tasty snack for hawks and owls. Many birds will gang-up on larger raptors in a defense strategy known as “mobbing” for several reasons; to warn others, to defend territory, to distract predators…and some believe it may just be fun for them.
