Ash-throated Flycatcher

Myiarchus cinerascens is a neotropical migrant, wintering in Central America and breeding throughout the western U.S. These shy nimble flycatchers feed on spiders and insects and nest in tree cavities, nest boxes, fence posts, mailboxes, etc.

    I used to see these all the time in the summer in Pike, Sierra County. They liked using my bluebird boxes to nest. Now I rarely see them?
