There are over 600 species of ants in the Pheidole genus. While it’s unclear which species this is, many of the “Big-Heads” are noted to be invasive and may have great impacts on agriculture and local ecosystems. The minor workers are just 2mm long and the major workers are larger with a greatly oversized head capsule. (Click images for larger versions)
