Heron with Grass in the Beak

While herons and egrets are mostly seen around wetlands, they are well adapted to work the surrounding uplands for insects, reptiles and small ground living mammals. This heron took a stab at a gopher but only ended up with a beak full of grass. (click images for larger version)
