California Red-sided Gartersnake

Thamnophis sertalis infernalis, latin for “Slender bush snake from hell”, is only found along the coast from central to Northern California. Most often seen near bodies of fresh water where it hunts for small creatures such as small mammals, amphibians, insects, worms, fish and birds.
