Coast Range Fence Lizard

Sceloporus occidentalis bocourtii is often seen scuttling around on rocks and logs, soaking in the sun or snatching up ants and other insects. Male fence lizards do push-ups and show off their blue bellies to claim territories from competing males and attract females.
