Celebrating and Caring for the Land

Roadside Raptor

These two photos of Red Shouldered Hawks were taken out of a parked car along the side of a busy road. Their indifference to the loud and constantly flowing traffic is amazing considering how difficult it is to approach one on foot. Fun to think about how they’ve adapted to utilizing our fence lines, power lines and roadways…they do a great job of managing roadside rodents…so long as they stay out of traffic!
